BTW has many volunteer opportunities for those interested in sharing their time and talents to benefit the Center. Experiences vary from volunteering for one-time special events, to ongoing involvement in program activities. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering, please visit BTW in person for an application or call 253-3207. Please note that all volunteers who will be working regularly with youth require reference checks, criminal background checks, a TB screening and child abuse registry clearance, all of which are provided by BTW.

The spirit of community volunteerism is strong at BTW! Currently there are four wonderful individuals who are sharing their talents and time to serve the youth at the Center every week. Nicolena Testa-McCants, who served as 2012 summer staff, has volunteered throughout the year in a variety of capacities, including work with BTW’s youth soccer program and special events, such as the Holiday Bazaar. Nicolena did an amazing job with this summer’s Olympics, including making the torch she carries below! Joy Dunbar, who worked at BTW until 2011, spends two days each week working on children’s literacy skills through BTW’s Book Club. Rina Hernandez has also been a tremendous asset to the soccer program, providing coaching and even laundering the team uniforms each week. Many thanks to them all!
